Been A While
Lately I haven’t posted anything ‘personal’ so here’s a few updates:
- Just got a Conditional Offer for the Filmmaking: Concept To Screen Masters Degree at Bangor University.
- I’ll know my final (undergrad) grade by 13th June and will Graduate on the 17th July.
- I’m desperately seeking out a summer job. I’ve been home for about two weeks now and can’t deal with how bored I am.
- If I don’t get a job, I’ll probably just do what I did last year. Sit at home and watch a boat load of films.
- I am hoping to finish my feature length script though. It’s already got 22 pages written so I may as well finish it.
- Need to find somewhere to live for next year. Amy’s doing an MA at Man Met so she’s staying at home and I’ll be sharing with some friends in Bangor.
- Everyone says ‘Oh, you’ll be apart then.’ No shit. Amy’s course is two days a week and mine is 8 hours a week so there’s plenty of time outside of that.
- Besides, it’s not like I’ll be in Yemen or something. I’ll probably do the Manchester-Bangor train ride for the first time though.
- The 12 Hour Film-A-Thon Student Cut Films held raised £255 for Diabetes UK and won the Charity Award at the Student Union Societies Awards which was ace.
- I’m glad I’ll be in Bangor to see how the society does without me as Chair.
- I’ve got a lot of faith in Ali (New Chair) and with the original committee still there in the background, it should be a good year.
